
MV-Jäähdytys put its occupational health care services out to tender with the help of an expert
Our client MV-Jäähdytys Oy had grown rapidly, and its current occupational health service provider was no longer able to meet the company's changing needs. The solution was to find a nationwide occupational health partner, and Söderberg & Partners was hired to handle the tendering process for occupational health services. MV-Jäähdytys' HR Director Maarit Syrjä describes the collaboration from the client's perspective as very clear and easy.
Growth created pressure for reform
MV-Jäähdytys Oy operates in several locations and employs a growing number of experts in the field of cooling and refrigeration technology. With growth came increased occupational health care requirements, and the former service provider was no longer able to meet the new situation.
“We had been using the same occupational health care provider for a long time, but the service coverage was no longer sufficient. We wanted a nationwide partner that could serve the entire organization. At the same time, we wanted clarity and cost efficiency,” Syrjä describes.
The situation was made more challenging by the fact that the company had other busy projects going on at the same time. An external expert was definitely needed to handle the competitive tendering process. Hiring an expert from a familiar partner was an easy and convenient solution.

Syrjä contacted his account manager at Söderberg & Partners, and a meeting was quickly arranged with the company’s finance and HR managers and a specialist in occupational health services from Söderberg & Partners.
“Right at the start, the expert went through all our goals and wishes with us. He quickly understood our situation and drew up a clear action plan that allowed us to move forward straight away,” says Syrjä.
The expert took the tendering process forward in a consistent manner, keeping the client informed and providing expert guidance at every stage.
“Throughout the process, the client was kept well informed and didn’t have to worry about what was going on,” says Syrjä.

Several candidates participated in the competitive tendering process. The expert made the comparison easy for the customer: clear summaries of the offers were prepared, enabling quick and reliable decision-making.
“We didn’t have to research things ourselves or compare service contents on our own. The expert summarized everything essential and also presented recommendations with justifications. It was easy to make a decision that we can be happy with,” says Syrjä.
Cooperation with the new service provider has already begun, and the initial experiences have been excellent.
A clear agreement and a genuinely functional package
As a result of the competitive tendering process, MV-Jäähdytys obtained a significantly clearer service agreement tailored to its own operations. The new model now serves the company's size and needs much better – and even more cost-effectively than before.
The content of the agreement was fine-tuned with the help of an expert to suit the organization's needs. It was a great help to have someone involved who could see the big picture and guide us in the right direction.
